If Internet rumors are true, expect a new RX-7 in 2003.. or 2004... or 2005... or 2006... or 2007... or 2008... or 2009... or 2010... or 2011... or 2012... or 2013... or 2014... or 2015... or 2016. Definitely 2016.

I’ve got a few ideas.
- Rotary powered coupe...concept...again...that will never be built and is only meant to tease enthusiasts further and hope it’ll get them to buy more MX-5s
- Even smaller displacement MX-5 with a turbocharger that gives it somewhere in the range of 160-170hp
- The return of a production MazdaSpeed car (3, 6, or MX-5)
- Revival of the MPV with an all new model that will also replace the current one in Japan, all in order to capitalize on the sudden minivan buzz that Kia kicked off and Chrysler is continuing
- Mazda6 wagon (please?)
- Redesigned Mazda5 (for the same reason as the MPV revival mentioned above, and to also take on smaller van entries from Nissan/Chevrolet, Ford, Mercedes-Benz, and Ram)

Yes, we are. Though, Mazda COULD lift it up a bit, give it AWD, and market it as a new CX-7 to slot between the CX-5 (which is smaller) and CX-9 (which is larger)...could give the Subaru Outback a run for it’s money.
